Why is the approach condsidered to be one of the most imporatnt steps in the selling process?

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

Your approach to the customer determines the tone for the rest of the conversation. If you are not cheerful, welcoming, and interested in helping them, they know in the first few seconds.

That is why most good salespeople develop, or have the inate ability, to ‘read’ people immediately. You pick up on body languange, eye contact, personality almost immediately and can guage your approach to make that person feel comfortable in an instant.

The value of the humanistic approach to health and social care service provision?

Considering the theories of Maslow and Rogers relating to self esteem and self concept.

Well theoretically, maslow heiracrhy of needs is useful as it makes sure all the building blocks are in place to achieve the next goal. In this case, a person can’t get better until their basic need are met (good diet, medication) Then safety needs, the feeling that they are safe in hospital or at home by receiving regular check ups from family, a doctor or social worker. Then the self esteem can be begin. It would be important for the health system to take these steps as they think they can give people drugs and it will be fine, but many studies have found a form of therapy has far more positive affects than drugs.
But in reality adopting a humanistic approach is unlikely to occur because it will not be a financially viable option

For a New Real Estate Agent, what is the best approach to practice the Prospecting system of Mike Ferry?

or go with something like a 1800 number to generate leads, or mix it up. I would appreciate some advice because I’m exicted about helping people buy and sell property, I just got my license and nothing could stop me, because I’m asking for it, I have unswerving passion and I shall receive what I think of.

ES is correct you have to market yourself to as many people as you can on a daily basis.

You need to set up a professional network of individuals that will refer clients to you as well as a way of getting before the people that are interesting in selling or buying a home using you as he agent that complete the transaction.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

What speed does a business jet approach a runway for landing?

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

110 knots?

I hope you guys don’t fly a Lear 55 at max landing weight. You’ll need more speed than what most of you are saying.
Most of the jets I fly have about a 20 knot range, depending on weight. So, even for a given jet, you could easily have a 20 knot range.
And yes, a very light Citation 500 series could have a Vref as low as 90 knots.
It’s going to depend, too, on whether the design in question is straight wing or swept.
The ranges for all the jets I’ve flown, combined, is about 90 (straight wing, very light weight, meaning reserve fuel only and no pax, etc.) to about 136 (swept wing, max landing weight).
Now, that is ref speed. Many operators prefer ref plus 10 on final.

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

I have some products from outside of the USA. I know they are popular; however its nearly impossible to get an appointment with a big-wig inside large companies. How do I approach and set up a product demonstration?

Your not trying hard enough. Get that appointment and sale yourself, bluff if you must, but be ready to have your bluff called if it comes to that!

We are all captives of our limited knowledge of Islam and what it means to us personally. We are either afraid of it completely, or enslaved by it completely, or somewhere in between. But in reality, Islam is the teaching of an all-inclusive Unity. It embraces all people, learned and ignorant, sick or healthy, frustrated or secure. Why is it that the great Sufi poet Jalaluddin Rumi wrote "Come, come, whoever you are"? so why not

What is the best approach to learning spanish?

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

any opinions would be nice.

My college uses a software called TeLL me More, by Auralog. It covers not only the basics, but also intermediate or advanced level. It is also a lot less repetitive. My goal was to become fluent so it was perfect for me. It has a lot of different activities: picture/word association, videos, dialogues,…, includes also grammar and conjugation. It has also more content than any other language software. Their speech recognition is great so you can have a dialogue with the computer. You can check out their website at http://www.auralog.com for a free demo and compare too. You can check out independent reviews on the web too Top Ten Reviews or about.com websites.

The best way to learn a language would be through immersion, visiting these countries. Learning a language will require some time. In addition to software, you can have books which are useful as well. Audio CDs like Pimsleur for instance might help you out but you cannot get any feedback on your pronunciation so I did not like it so much

How did Kohler and Tolman lay the foundation for the cognitive approach in psychology? ?

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

I thought that it was Pavlov.

Pavolv was a behaviorist to the core. Kohler was Gestalt and studied problem solving way before the cognitive revolution. He was very interested in insight as well. Tolman studied rat learning but made the shocking claim (at least at the time) that the rats were forming cognitive maps.
