"Web Technology role in “Distance Learning” is the final and ultimate approach to meet the learning requirements of new era. Justify the statement."

Question:-
"Web Technology role in “Distance Learning” is the final and ultimate approach to meet the learning requirements of new era. Justify the statement."

Answer
Web technology has considerably changed the exchange of information, allowing anyone to access with a personal computer with on-line capability the opportunity to gather substantial materials from various and comprehensive sources. Computer literacy and internet facilities are still not universal skills, though more and more individuals are becoming skilled by using computers and by accessing the Internet. By creating a digital framework in which a community of peers can assess and organize these efforts, we can begin to build not only an increasingly healthy and complex collection of learning opportunities for adult students of different and often well-established learning styles, but the knowledge base by which their teachers can establish best practices, educational strategies, and an in understanding of their enterprise. The Internet has had a thoughtful impact on the ways in which many different tasks are talented

What is the importance of a multi-dimensional approach to understanding psychopathology?

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

What is the mportance of a multi-dimensional approach to understanding psychopathology?

Also, What are some problems with projective tests?

By multi-dimensional you refer to multdisciplinary, by any chance? If that’s so, I believe it would be important because you can have different views of any given psychopathology. For instance, if you take generalized anxiety disorder and try to focus only on psychoanalysis, that seems great. Psychoanalysis would tell you that the anxiety is unconscious and that it has grown out of control (sorry for the sketchy use of this theory, I’m not a psychoanalyst). However, psychoanalytic theories are hard to test empirically. Hence, you might benefit from, say, a behavioral approach, which is much more observable; say, you can theorize that the disorder is somewhat phobic, or that it has been conditionally learned and it has become generalized, etc. You now have two versions, and both can be equally right. If you are creative enough, you might find a way to blend both views into one, and explain your pathology with a bidimensional approach. This could increase your appraisal of the pathology, and make you analysis more encompassing.

This can be applied ad infinitum. You can start with two schools, test them, see if they can fit together, and build from there, perhaps adding a third. The challenge is that you need to know if using many schools at once will be reasonably justifiable, because it will increase not only the complexity of your thesis and analysis, but also of your research design (or your therapeutic approach).

Projective tests? Well, they are basically assuming that what the respondent says, sees or writes/draws (depending on the test itself) is a direct manifestation of inner thoughts, beliefs or emotions. This is an indirect way of measuring, at best. So far, I haven’t encountered a research article that gives evidence nor supports the validity of such tests. I don’t imply they’re useless, but you should use them with care.

what are some good icebreakers?
is confidence the key?

Confidence is always key. I’d say to ask her if she’s having fun there and tell her that she looks nice. Make some funny comment about what you think is ridiculous about the posers and the evening itself.

What’s the best way to approach a female that you find attractive and have never seen or talked to before?

Monday, January 25th, 2010

I see the sexy females every day but i just dont know what words to say when i approach them.I’d prefer an answer from a female.

Asses the situation and act casual. Yes walking up and saying hello is always a good idea, but if don’t have much to offer, it’s not going to get you anywhere.

What I do is assess the situation, and then comment on something familiar, or create a situation where it is still casual to chat. For example, when I’m on the bus, I’ll see a girl with some college textbooks, say she has a history book. I’ll be like oh man I took that class, how did you find it? Yea I actually really like history, do you? Blah Blah Blah. Then your being casual and there is no pressure on her. Then from there just don’t be awkward. If shes uncomfortable, she’ll get outta there, and being awkward is uncomfortable. So if your not ready and don’t have your A game, then don’t bother.

Another thing, doesn’t matter where you are who you are, if your genually funny, you’ll at least get a smile out of her. But that’s hard, because you can’t just say hey wanna hear a joke, you’ll look liek an idiot. try quietly making fun of something around you, or someone around you, but be cautious your not offending her. Then It looks like your actually a funny guy, because you just made that up out of your head.

Lastly, you have to be confident. Girls love confidence and can easily sniff it out on you. Because if you are confident, it means your life creates a reason to be confident. So if you are walking up to all the sexy girls you actually think want nothing to do with you, you better be a good actor, or bring your expectations down a couple notches and go after girls your confident you can land.

My friend picking up random chicks is an art that few men master, so don’t feel bad If right away it doesn’t yield results. You better be good looking or got some cash to throw around as well.

How to find and approach a literary agent?

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

I live in the uk and I write stories for younger children, many of them are rhyming stories. I would like to take it further, but i haven’t got the first idea about how to actually do it.
Does anyone have any advice on how to find a literary agent and how to approach them and present material to them.
I’d also like to know about agent fees, do you have to pay them for soliciting material on your behalf or do they only take a percentage if you are lucky enough to get published.

The only thing I can suggest is using www.agentquery.com. It’s a fabulous site to find an agent, but in the US. Many of the agents/companies DO have agencies in other countries, or they work with other agencies. Most of the agents have a very specific way to submit your manuscripts – follow it exactly or your work will be tossed in the garbage. In the US, you NEVER pay an agent – they get a percentage. Hope that helps somewhat!

What is the best way to approach a anti-road rage billboard?

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Hi i have to do a billboard on road rage, and i need some help and opinions on how to approach a anti-road rage billboard (on the freeway). Also What is the psychology behind road rage?

Personally, I like the direct approach.

Here are some good (but not graphic) videos that might give you some starting point.

Good luck.

As far as the psychology; it’s been shown that for some people it’s almost a territorial issue. People with vanity tags have been shown to be more likely to be agressive drivers. The theory is that wherever they are is their territory & if they feel you’re infringing on it (tailgating, blocking the, or cutting them off), the respond as if it were an attack.

People also seem to feel safer and braver when wrapped in 1+ tons of metal.

What do you think of James R andi’s views on religion and science? read details?

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Religion is based upon blind faith supported by no evidence. Science is based upon confidence that results from evidence — and that confidence can be modified and/or reversed by further observations and experimentation. Science approaches truth, closer and closer, by hard dedicated work. Religion already has it all decided, and it’s "in the book. It’s dogma, unchangeable, and unaffected by reality and whatever facts we come upon in the real world.

Randi is a brilliant man in addition to being one of the best illusionists in the world. But he hates frauds, which is why Uri Geller sued Randi for exposing Geller’s tricks. Randi also torpedoed a Geller appearance on The Tonight Show by telling the staff how Geller was going to pretend to do things, and lots of glue was used under cups, etc, to make sure Geller failed. It was hilarious. He still has $1m offered to phony psychic Sylvia Browne to undergo a blind test of her alleged abilities. She accepted the offer and has yet to show but you won’t hear it on Montel.

Randi’s statement above is a fine summary of how I approach life.

Randi goes after frauds because he feels his original trade of magic/illusion has been infested by charlatans claiming to have special powers. Randi will not expose any of his honest friends within magic or mentalism, the same thing as a psychic except honest with their audiences that the cold readings they perform are the result of training and practice, not special gifts.

We are a new website design & development starting up on own,how do we find new start up companies to approach?

Monday, January 18th, 2010

as we would like small projects to begin with, as there is so many big fish out there?

you can check county records for new fictitious names that have been registered, or local business newspapers that will have the business listed in the classified section. You can also post ads on Craigslist looking for just anyone who needs a website.
