PMDG 747 approach and landing into ENGM on a rainy day
Approaching ENGM on a rainy day along with two VA colleagues allready on ground.
Using VC view only during the entire process. I know i might be doing soem mistakes during this flight. I’m not absolute champion just yet

PMDG have pretty …
PMDG have pretty much every system and functions in the 747-400 simulated. It’s as close to the real life aircraft as possible.
I have never tried the perfect flight 747, so i can’t speak on how much is simulated it is, but to me it seems t be a bit out dated.
There is another freeware fully simulated 747-400 that’s called the iFly, but the panel and model in general is not that good looking

I’m well aware that SAS don’t use any B747’s, but this is a flightsimulator and everything is possible there. Who says you have to do everything in a flightsim as it is in real life?
As for the norwegian sounds, it’s a voice pack i downloaded years ago, along with some german + english voice packs for FS Passengers.
I can’t remember where i downloaded the norwegian package though..

I bought the 747-400 passenger version boxed and the freighter version as a download, but you can also get the passenger version as a download.. just check out their site

It’s availabla for purchase and download from PMDG’s site, but can also be bought from other retailers like simmarket.
Aerosoft sells the boxed version, but i believe that can be ordered from other sites as well

depending on weight …
depending on weight some times they are asked by ATC to stay faster than normal. putting landing gera down at high speed is a bad idea.
however they are also asked to go slower to, so gear down will help them slow down.

No, in some …
No, in some aircraft it differs a little – some aircraft have a fixed landing gear for example.
You’re actually supposed to lower the landing gear in a 747 at 3,000 feet, but again, some pilots lower it sooner, or sometimes later, depending on the weight, etc.
So, you’re wrong.
