If you are an outdoor sports lover or love to be in the water then chances are you will love skimboard. The type of board used in skim-boarding is a smaller, sleeker version of a surfboard. Although it isn’t easier than surfboarding it is just as much fun. Many groups of friends take part in the sport together so the board gets past around when in use.
Skim-boarding is also referred to as skimming or skiffle boarding. The sport is amazing and gives a lot of freedom to the individual who gets an adrenaline rush from skimming the waves. There are also yearly competitions where competitors can win trophy’s.
Many people love the wave riding aspect of skimming and their adrenaline rushes as they skim or break waves. The wood boards usually cannot be used to ride actual waves, but other materials are more suitable. To skim or break waves a person would use their momentum to successfully ’skim’ out or try breaking waves.
