This video clip is the first half of a lesson teaching Tim Hughes’ song Beautiful One. Go to our webstore to download the full lesson http://www.musicademy.com/store

This lesson is taken from one of three new DVDs for acoustic guitarists called the “Song Learner Series”. Each lesson is also available as a download and there are lots of FREE online resources in the members area on the website – just login to join up.

Each of the 2-hour DVDs contain six or seven 12-20 minute lessons teaching you to play a contemporary worship song.

Songs featured include Everlasting God, Beautiful One, The Father’s Song and Facedown as well as a number of challenging hymns – In Christ Alone and David Crowder’s beautiful arrangement of All Creatures of Our God and King.

The idea of the Song Learner Series is to enable you to master the guitar parts played on the original record, note for note, and as such significantly enhance your playing. In each lesson you will learn how to:
Master the right strumming pattern for the song
Find easy ways to play complex chords
Get the right rhythm and pacing
Learn the one finger “cheat” chords that the professionals use to make your playing sound smooth
Develop great finger picking
Plus hints, tops and techniques you can use in other songs

The Song Learner DVDs are presented by Andy Chamberlain. Andy’s accessible teaching approach breaks each section of the song into bite-sized chunks, helps you play it through a few times and then bolts it together with the rest of the song, step-by-step so that you get each sequence into muscle memory. The Song Learner Series is designed to help you play more songs using the technical principles taught on the Musicademy Worship Guitar Course DVDs.

Please visit us at http://www.musicademy.com

Loads of FREE worship resources on our website including chord charts, strumming patterns and articles on music and worship.

Go to the Members Download section to register.
