Boeing 747 pit video landing Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport 香港 啟德機場 in rain IGS approach
As requested. A shorter version of the approach into Kai Tak without the music. Again, the lead in lights are barely visible through the rain as the video starts and then we get a great view of the checkerboard through to touchdown. This approach is in the rain. The other video is a little clearer but still grey out.

Also, just a note to in-cockpit videographers. Please don’t zoom out the window, I think we want to see what the pilot is doing, not the pretty view.

I don’t know about you, but I prefer my pilot to be very bored with the landings. A challanging approach for the pilot makes for a too exciting flight for the passengers.

Woggles333: Runway length was about 10,000+ feet.
Panu53: Yes, they switched off the autopilot before they commenced right turn to line up IGS Rwy 13, and that’s the sound of the A/P disengage.
